The Countryman Stores and Dining is situated close to the Knepp Castle re-wilding and conservation project with over 16 miles of footpaths and several viewing platforms scattered around the estate.

The Countryman offers a welcome break for enjoying a light snack or afternoon tea in the garden or a freshly prepared lunch or evening meal in the dining room.

Inside you’ll find a village store with home baked bread and pastries, fresh local produce, various preserves, fresh ground coffee and a variety of local craft and traditional ales.

In our dining room we pride ourselves on producing traditional country fayre. We use fresh seasonal ingredients from our neighbouring farms, growers, and producers. Fresh fish is always available and is landed at Newhaven, Brighton and Shoreham from family-owned day boats working along the south coast.

However, due to purchasing locally sourced ingredients from small producers our menu will vary from day-to-day.

Our food is evolving all the time, and we will always look to feature the very best of what’s in season both in the shop and dining room.
